Admissions for Pre-K
In New York City, children begin pre-K in the calendar year they turn four.
If your child was born in 2020 and lives in New York City, they are eligible to attend pre-K for September 2024. The application window will open Jan 10, 2024.

We offer three (3) full-day Pre-K classes for a total of 54 seats.
Each Pre-K classroom has a maximum capacity of 18 students with a lead instructor and a paraprofessional “co-teacher”.
Applications can be submitted online with MySchools, by phone 718-935-2009 or in person at the District 13 Family Welcome Center located at 415 89th Street in Bay Ridge.
* Current 3-K families must submit an application as well to be considered for placement at PS20.
Offers to PS20 are made by the NYC Department of Education based upon a child’s position on the priority list below:
Children who currently attend 3-K at PS20
Children who live in the zone with a sibling at PS20.
All other zoned children.
Children who live in District 13 with a sibling at the school.
Children who live outside of District 13 with a sibling at the school.
All other children living in District 13.
All other children.
