Math-A-Thon June 1-10

STEAM Committee is thrilled to present the first-ever PS20 Math-A-Thon!
During the period of June 1 - 10, 2026, students and families can solve 600+ math puzzles and problems & fundraise directly on the For Our School (code: 447903) website.

The PS20 Math-a-thon is a fundraising event supporting the STEAM program and the Parent-Teacher Association. We are hoping to fund:

  • After school STEAM Experiments, Enrichment Programs, and IB-related content

  • Activities like: Annual PS20 Science Fair, 3D Printing, Kalakkal Counter, Technology Workshops, and Chem Craniotomy. Experiments with the Chompsaw, DNA, Light, Food, and more

Students will solve multiple-choice math problems using the FourOurSchools website (online or printable worksheets). The questions will review topics covered on the NYS Math Exam for grades 3–5, as well as concepts learned throughout the school year for students in Pre-K through 2nd grade.

Classes that reach a designated number of correctly answered questions will earn a pizza party. In addition, the top student in each grade with the highest number of correct answers will receive an ice cream gift card. Additional prizes and rewards will also be given for participation and sponsorship.
