PS20 is pleased to host two in-house, on-site after-school programs: Good Success Kaleidoscope Kids (3K through grade 5) and PTA-run Mosaic (Pre-K through grade 5). There are several organizations that pick up from PS20 as well.

We also have on-site after-school enrichment classes such as Chess, Piano, and Debate Club.

Keep scrolling for a list of after-school classes and activities that pick-up students from dismissal to their off-site locations.

Please provide your Parent Coordinator and your classroom teachers with the name of the program and the day(s) your child is registered for each day. If your child is attending an outside after-school program, please be sure to let them know the dismissal time and that they should be on time for pick-up.

GOOD SUCCESS KALEIDOSCOPE KIDS

Good Success Kaleidoscope Kids After School and Out of School Time (OST) Program is offered to students from 3K to 5th grade.

Greetings Parents and caregivers! We have arts and crafts, homework help, tutoring, organized sports, Teaching Artists, mentoring program and much much more. Also offering French Immersion for 3K, Pre-K thru 3rd grade.

We appreciate our parents and we look forward to a fun filled and safe year! Kaleidoscope operates Monday through Friday from 2:30/2:40pm to 5:45pm. Pick up is at the security desk in the school entrance (note: there is a $1 per minute late fee after 6:00 PM).

First day of Kaleidoscope for 2026-27 School Year is Thursday, September 10, 2026.

ON-SITE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

Chess Program with Impact Coaching Network (2026-2027)

SCHEDULE: Options for one or two days per week: Wednesday and/or Thursday. After pick-up, light snack in cafeteria, practice from 3-5 PM in Library.  Late pickup available until 6 PM for an extra fee.

FEES: Register for Chess Today!
One day per week = $795
Two days per week = $1350 per semester
Financial assistance available.

Competitions: Team competitions (local, city, state, & national) are scheduled.

CINEMAKIDZ

  • Fridays 2:45–3:45pm: Wilderness Studios for Grades 1-5

  • Fridays 3:45–5pm: Video Game Design for Grades 1-5 (grouped by age)

One course = $300 per student ($30 is donated to the PTA with each registration)
Both courses = $550 per student (that’s a 10% discount for sign-up of both courses!)

FRENCH AFTER-SCHOOL with EFNY (2026-27)

For anyone interested in the EFNY French after-school program, please contact efnyps20@gmail.com for more information. Registration typically opens in mid-July. Unfortunately, space is very limited.

Piano: Tuesday (12 Sessions, cost of semester: $456) First class is September 22.
Piano: Wednesday (12 Sessions, cost of semester: $456) First class is September 23.

  • Group 1 will be reserved for Grades K-1 from 2:50pm - 3:50pm

  • Group 2 will be reserved for Grades 2-5 from 3:55pm - 4:55pm.
    Note: Group 2 students will need to be enrolled in extended day or brought back to campus

PS20 DEBATE CLUB (Grades 4+5 Only)

We are pleased to partner up once again with the NYC Urban Debate Leagueto offer a PS20 Debate Club! Open to 4th and 5th graders, Debate Club is a fantastic chance for students to engage, learn, and grow through the art of debating. If this sounds like something your child would love, please contact Ms. Colon as soon as possible for more details and to check if there's still a spot open.

SCHEDULE: Led by PS20 dedicated and talented teachers, the club meets Thursdays from 2:50 pm to 3:50 pm.

PS20 coordinates with various organizations and programs in the neighborhood that run after school programs.
