That is what the PTA spends per student on the things that make PS 20 feel like PS 20 — art and the garden, the library, science, music, and the afterschool places we hold for families who need them. None of it is funded by the DOE. All of it comes from us.
Monthly gifts are the most useful kind — they let the PTA commit to programs in September instead of hoping the money arrives by March.

Classroom libraries, the Read-a-thon, and the Scholastic book fair that sends books home with children who have none.

Materials for student investigations, and getting our strongest projects to the District 13 fair.
Places held for families
Afterschool scholarships and teacher grants, so cost is never the reason a child misses out.
Ask your employer to double it
Many companies match charitable gifts from their staff, and most people never find out. It usually takes one form and about five minutes, and it doubles what reaches the school. Search for your employer below, or email fund@ps20.org and we will help you look.

Other ways to give
Cash, cheque or money order made payable to PS20 Parent Teachers Association Inc can go straight into the PTA lockbox in the school front office.
If your gift is going through a donor-advised fund, a workplace giving platform or a stock transfer, email fund@ps20.org and we will send you what your provider needs.
