Science Fair - Fri Mar 21

Parents are welcome to view the 2025 Science Fair presentations on Friday, March 21 from 9-10 am.

Science Fair projects are mandatory for Grades 4 + 5, optional for Grade 3 and students will display in their classrooms. After official presentations, students will get to go around to view each other's projects. While you're here, check out the new Utopia Lab!

Friday March 14 - We're doing all the things!

Catch us outside on the morning of Friday, March 14 with the following activities:

  • 5th Grade Committee Pi Day Sale - coffee & treats for only $3.14 in front of the main entrance

  • Fundraising Committee hosts Pi(e) Day pick-up in front of the main entrance

  • Library Committee will be hosting a Book Giveaway to kick off the start of Read-a-thon

  • Merch Committee will be selling newly pressed kid & adult sweatshirts in additional colors and sizes

  • Head inside the school for FALP, if your classroom is participating!

PS20 STEAM Committee presents CinemaKidz

PS20 UTOPIA LAB -- PS20's maker space --  and CINEMAKIDZ present... News Hour TV and Weird Science! 

STEAM Committee will be hosting two afterschool classes for Spring 2025 in our new Utopia Lab maker space. Classes are open to Grades K through 5.

SESSIONS and FEES

A portion of proceeds from tuition fees will benefit PS20!

  • Wednesday: News Hour TV
    (3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16 no class, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18)
    13 classes = $455 (35 per class)

  • Thursday: Weird Science TV

    (3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17 no class, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5 no class, 6/12)
    11 classes = $385 (35 per class)

TIMES

  • 2:45-4:00pm

  • Instructors will pick-up students from class dismissal at 2:40pm

  • Students who are also enrolled with Mosaic or Kaleidoscope on these days will be sent to those programs afterwards

PS20 Read-A-Thon is March 14-21

The Library Committee hopes to encourage a love of reading in our students (& raise money for our school!) through friendly, collaborative competition for the PS20 Read-a-Thon. Library Committee will host a book giveaway on the morning of Friday, March 14 outside the school’s main entrance.

🏆 ALL STUDENTS who send at least two (2) donation-request emails will get a Read-a-Thon bag tag as a participation prize.

🍨 The CLASS in each grade with the most reading minutes will win an ice cream party!

🎉 The INDIVIDUAL STUDENT in each grade with the most reading minutes will win a gift certificate at Greenlight Books (thank you, Greenlight!)
